A Dog's life
the pitter patter of the rain
May sometimes seem alarming
But when I’m tucked up warm in bed
It seems positively charming
I love to watch the sunset’s glow
Across an autumn sky
I like to breathe the salt sea air
And hear the seagulls cry
The smell of new mown hay
On a sultry summer’s day
To me seems so romantic
But the lightning’s flash
And the thunder’s roar
Drives all the dogs near frantic.
