Autumn in Summer

Autumn in Summer

The dark gloomy clouds eclipse the rays of the sun,
Autumn in summer has prematurely begun
The deluging rain flattens the hardiest of blooms
as the lightening flash lights up the darkened rooms

The loud peels of thunder midst the barking of dogs
my angry wife still wearing her gardening togs
I can’t recall plants growing as fast or so high
to fight global warming, mother nature’s reply

And almost as fast as it initially came,
the rain has decided to switch off once again.
Then a strong wind blue up, you just wouldn’t believe!
the crystal ball weather man’s been sent home to grieve
